Pezeshkian thanks Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq for preventing anti-Iran activities

TEHRAN: Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian has thanked Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq for preventing their territories from being used against Iran during the recent regional conflict, according to Iranian state media.
In a report published Sunday night, the official website of Iran’s presidency said Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister in Tehran.
The Iranian president reaffirmed Tehran’s desire to expand “friendly and lasting” relations with regional Islamic countries, adding that greater unity among Muslim nations would reduce foreign interference in the region.
Pezeshkian said that during the conflict involving the United States and Israel, “enemies” had attempted to transfer insecurity into Iran through its northwestern and southeastern regions by providing financial, intelligence, and military support.
“In this context, I sincerely thank the governments of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq for not allowing any action against the Islamic Republic of Iran from their territories,” he said.
Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate has repeatedly stated over the past five years that it will not allow Afghan territory to be used against any country.
Naqvi arrived in Iran on an unannounced two-day visit and held talks with several senior Iranian officials, including the president, parliament speaker, and interior minister.
