KABUL: A U.S. Air Force B-52 strategic bomber crashed shortly after takeoff near Edwards Air Force Base in southern California.
According to a report by The Washington Post, all eight people on board were killed in the crash.
The report said emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene, and authorities are currently assessing the situation.
Videos circulating online show a large plume of black smoke rising into the sky, visible from several kilometers away.
