KABUL: Turkish police have arrested 51 people in a large-scale operation against Daesh across 16 provinces, the country’s Interior Ministry said.
The ministry said those arrested were suspected of links to Daesh, providing financial support to the group and promoting its activities on social media.
According to the ministry, the suspects are being investigated over their alleged connections to Daesh activities.
The Interior Ministry said the operation was conducted to prevent possible terrorist attacks and restrict the activities of Daesh networks in Turkey.
