HERAT: The personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department of Herat have identified and arrested four burglars, along with 10 million Afghanis in cash and 2 kilograms of stolen gold after six months of investigation.
Mawlavi Wali Shah Rahmat, head of the Criminal Investigation Department of Herat, told media today that these burglars, in collaboration with a woman, stole the money and gold from a house in the Kashan district of Herat six months ago.
The owner of the stolen money and gold claims that the total amount stolen was 30 million Afghanis, he said.
The police also seized an AK-47, a pistol, and a vehicle from them.
The police official emphasized that the arrested individuals have confessed to their crimes and expressed regret for their actions.
Recently, another burglar was apprehended by police after stealing nearly one million Pakistani rupees from a money exchanger in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province.
