KABUL: The Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas has expressed opposition to a newly proposed plan aimed at ending the conflict with the Zionist regime in Gaza.
According to a report from Reuters, mediators from Egypt and Qatar presented this new plan to Hamas, but a senior official from the group has rejected two aspects of it.
One of the main points of contention is a request for Hamas to disarm, which has sparked significant backlash.
The report also cites Sami Abu Zuhri, who stated that any ceasefire agreement must result in the cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.
