Nearly 154 tons of goods transported via railway in past two weeks, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Public Works said in a statement on Monday that 153,533 tons of commodities have been traded via the country’s railways in the past two weeks of the current month of the solar year.
According to the statement, 128,884 tons through Hairatan port, 18,839 tons via the Aqina port, 11,125 tons through the Torghundi port, and 11,685 tons via the Khaf-Herat railway have been transported.
The statement further said that 6,871 tons are exported goods, some of which were dried fruits, minerals, rice, pomegranate juice, and potatoes.
The statement further said that the ministry has always been trying to provide suitable conditions for transfers and more facilities for traders.
