Humanitarian aid to Gaza resumed

KABUL: As war refugees in Gaza have faced hunger in recent months due to the Israeli regime’s obstruction of humanitarian aid convoys, Western media reports indicate that the entry of these aid shipments into Gaza has resumed.
Axios news agency reported on Sunday night that sources within the Israeli regime confirmed the decision to allow aid into Gaza.
Despite significant opposition within Israel regarding the dispatch of aid to Palestinian refugees, the security cabinet reportedly agreed to resume aid shipments following what has been described as pressure from the United States.
Humanitarian shipments to Gaza residents are set to continue through existing routes until a new mechanism is established.
It appears that the U.S. government has intensified pressure on Israel to resume humanitarian aid following President Donald Trump’s return from the Middle East and meetings with Arab officials.
The economic blockade of Gaza by the Israeli regime and its use of civilian hunger as a weapon have been met with widespread condemnation.
