KABUL: Today February 14, 2024, the world’s largest election held on one day will take place in Indonesia.
According to reports from international media, polling stations are scheduled to open at 7:00 AM today for voters, however, they will be closed at 1:00 PM.
Over 200 million Indonesians will vote in Jakarta, the capital city, and other polling stations throughout the country for a new president, as well as both chambers of the national parliament and provincial governors.
In the elections, Prabowo Subianto, the former Minister of Defense, Ganjar Pranowo, the former governor of Central Java, and Anies Baswedan, the former Jakarta Commander, are competing for the presidential seat in Indonesia.
The voting process for Indonesians residing outside of the country began approximately 9 days ago.
Indonesia is the world’s third-largest democracy with a significant Muslim population.
