KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health Dr. Qalander Ebad, in a meeting on Saturday with Turkish ambassador, Cenk Onal asked for his country’s support in capacity building of Afghan medical staff, the ministry said in a statement.
In the meeting, both sides discussed the enhancement of the specialized capacity of Afghan doctors and sustainable cooperation between Turkey and Afghanistan.
Dr. Ebad, called the relations between Turkey and Afghanistan important and praised the provision of specialized healthcare services by the Ataturk Children’s Hospital and the health centers built by the Turkish government in Jawzjan, Faryab, and Takhar provinces, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Cenk Onal, the Turkish ambassador to Kabul, has stated that his country is committed to cooperation in the health sector with Afghanistan, in addition to other areas.
