KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Mr. Marat Nurtileu, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Kabul.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding the development of bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional opportunities, transit projects, and political engagement.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan’s positive stance toward Afghanistan and hoped that existing opportunities would be utilized to further enhance political and economic interactions.
This is the first trip of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister to Kabul, where he assured security throughout the country.
Mr. Nurtileu stated that Kazakhstan is committed to expanding political ties and economic and scientific collaborations with Afghanistan.
He emphasized that Kazakhstan aims to play a positive role in Afghanistan’s stability, food security, and overall comprehensive development in the long term.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the signed agreement regarding the Turghundi-Herat railway and agreed to expedite the commencement of related work.
