A Qatari delegation travelled to Tehran on Sunday, Qatari media reported, though no official details have been released about the visit’s purpose or agenda.
Reports said the visit was part of ongoing relations between Tehran and Doha, but neither side has officially confirmed it so far.
The visit comes as Iran and the United States remain divided over the conditions for resuming negotiations.
Abbas Goudarzi, spokesman for Iran’s parliament speaker, said talks with Washington would be meaningless unless the United States accepts Tehran’s conditions.
