The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement today that upon his arrival, Grandi stated that addressing the issues faced by Afghan refugees is a shared responsibility, emphasizing the need for services beyond emergency aid, including shelter, education, and healthcare.

He mentioned that the purpose of his trip is to meet with officials of the Islamic Emirate to discuss the challenges faced by returning Afghan refugees.

Grandi noted, “Although the international community is facing a financial crisis, the UNHCR will continue its efforts and support as before.”
