KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, leading a high-ranking delegation left the country for Turkmenistan on Sunday.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states on his official X platform that, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, left the country at the invitation of his Turkmen counterpart, Rashid Meredov.
According to source, in the meeting, both sides will discuss bilateral ties between two nations.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further added that Minister Muttaqi was accompanied by the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Head of Afghan Railway Administration, and Head of da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat.
In addition to political relations, Turkmenistan is one of the countries that has strong economic and trade relations with Afghanistan.
The railway connection and electricity imports from Turkmenistan are the major economic projects between the two countries.
