Providing aid to displaced individuals due to earthquake discussed

KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, held talks with Charlotte Slen, the head of the Danish Refugee Council, about assistance for those displaced by the earthquake and Afghan returnees from neighboring countries in the eastern provinces.

The ministry stated that during the meeting, Charlotte Slen expressed condolences for the casualties caused by the earthquake and mentioned that they have sent emergency aid to various provinces, coordinating with the Islamic Emirate.

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir praised Denmark’s support and emphasized the need for cash assistance to affected families and the reconstruction of housing for those impacted.

It is noteworthy that Mawlavi Abdul Kabir mentioned that the Islamic Emirate is making efforts to provide employment opportunities for returnees and is actively working toward a permanent solution to the issue of displacement.
