Afghan Islamic Army rescued dozens of stranded individuals in floods in Herat and Kandahar

KABUL: The 207 Al-Farooq and 205 Al-Badr Army Corps rescue teams of the Ministry of National Defense saved dozens of individuals who were stranded in floods in Herat and Kandahar provinces, the ministry said in separate statements on Monday.

As many as 52 residents of Kahkashan and Islam Qala districts of Herat province who were stranded due to heavy rains and floods, were rescued by the personnel of 207 Al-Farooq army corps, according to the statement.

Also, a number of residents of Daman district of Kandahar province were rescued by the personnel of 205 Al-Badr army corps, the statement said.

Last week, rescue teams of the national army of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan helped dozens of families in Nurgram district of Nooristan province.
