Japanese Ambassador in Afghanistan: Tokyo strives for stability in Afghanistan

KABUL: Masamoto Kenichi, Japan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, said that his country is committed to stability in Afghanistan and will not politicize humanitarian aid.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Shaikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani, Minister of Information and Culture, here in his office, the Ministry of Information and Culture said in a statement today.
The Japanese ambassador praised the efforts of the Islamic Emirate in ensuring security and discussed the state of media in Afghanistan, expressing Japan’s readiness to cooperate with the National Museum of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture noted that Japan’s assistance to the people of Afghanistan is sincere and free from political motives.
He emphasized that the Afghan people desire the continuation of this support.
Minister Haqqani highlighted the importance of Japan’s cooperation in preserving historical artifacts, restoring cultural heritage, and supporting the National Museum.
It is noteworthy that Masamoto Kenichi has recently begun his work as Japan’s ambassador to Afghanistan.
