KABUL: White House officials have confirmed that the cases of all Afghan citizens who have been relocated to the United States over the past four years will be reassessed.
The U.S. Department of State, citing Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for the White House, reported early today, that this reassessment includes all cases of individuals who entered the country during the evacuation process under the previous administration of President Joe Biden.
The White House spokesperson stated: “Any individual who poses a threat to our national security or to our citizens will be expelled from the country.”
The decision by the Trump administration follows the armed attack by Afghan citizen Rahmanullah Lakanwal on two members of the U.S. National Guard.
Reports indicate that thousands of Afghan citizens have been relocated to the U.S. under the evacuation process following the withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan.
