Iranian delegation arrives in Kabul to discuss labor exchange and Afghan workers’ rights

KABUL: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, said that a delegation from the Iranian government, led by Seyed Malek Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Labor, Cooperation, and Social Welfare, has arrived in Kabul today.

The purpose of this visit is to discuss bilateral labor relations, labor exchange, the expansion of vocational training, securing the rights of Afghan workers residing in Iran, and other important issues.

Members of the Iranian delegation are scheduled to meet with Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, Afghanistan’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, to discuss these issues.

Previously, the Iranian ambassador in Kabul had met with Mr. Omari to discuss the aforementioned matters.

This comes as Iran and Afghanistan have issued thousands of work visas to Afghan workers this year as a result of their bilateral cooperation.
