KABUL: The Saudi Embassy in Kabul has announced that, under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a quantity of dates has been donated to the people of Afghanistan.
In a statement released on X on Wednesday night, the embassy stated that the donated dates are in honor of the upcoming month of Ramadan and have been handed over to the Afghan Red Crescent Society in Kabul.
The statement also mentioned that the dates were presented to Afghan officials by Ali bin Mohammed Al-Hossan, the Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia residing in Kabul.
However, the statement did not specify the quantity of dates the Saudi Kingdom donated to the Afghan people.
It remains unclear how the Afghan Red Crescent Society will distribute the donated dates.
Simultaneously, the distribution of food aid by the “Bin Salman” Foundation for needy families in several provinces of the country is also ongoing.
