Japan announces aid to support needy Afghans

KABUL: The Japanese embassy has announced that it has signed an aid agreement worth $2.08 million with the World Bank.
The embassy stated in a statement on Sunday that funds will be used through the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) to support the livelihoods of those in need, particularly women and youth.
The Japanese embassy in Afghanistan emphasized that Japan stands alongside Afghans and aims to improve the lives of impoverished communities.
Previously, Japan has also provided assistance in education, health, humanitarian, and in response to natural disasters in Afghanistan.
