KABUL: The country’s Ministry of National Defense said Afghan forces carried out an airstrike on a Pakistani military camp in South Waziristan as part of the ongoing “Radd al-Zulm” operation.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the strike targeted a military facility in the area of Wana.
According to the statement, the attack hit the building used by commandos of the Pakistan Army Special Services Group (SSG) inside the camp, as well as several other key installations, destroying a large part of the command center.
The ministry said the strike caused heavy casualties and significant material losses to Pakistani forces.
