SHEBERGHAN: The Jawzjan police have eliminated two illegal alcohol production facilities and arrested three individuals, authorities said.
According to a statement from the provincial police command on Tuesday, the counter-narcotics unit of the province has launched an operation on the facilities that had been operating in Sheberghan the provincial capital, and were shut down during the operation.
Police said they seized 165 liters of alcohol, 911 liters of fermented raisins, 84 narcotic tablets, and 155 grams of drugs, including hashish and methamphetamine.
Authorities added that four such production sites have been uncovered in Jawzjan over the past 10 days, as efforts to combat drugs and alcohol continue in the province.
