Spokesman of the National Disaster Management Authority Mohammad Yousuf Hammad said the casualties were caused by a combination of heavy rainfall, flooding, landslides, and lightning strikes.
He said dozens of homes were also destroyed, with 50 houses completely destroyed and 426 others partially damaged.
The disasters affected multiple provinces, including Kabul, Herat, Helmand, Balkh, and Nangarhar provinces, among others.
Authorities added that water supply networks, irrigation canals, farmland, orchards, and solar systems were also damaged.
The latest figures come a day after officials reported that 28 people were martyred and 49 others were injured nationwide.
