KABUL: Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace during his visit to the United Kingdom, Syrian state media reported.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, the two leaders discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
The report said King Charles expressed support for Syria and solidarity with its people in their efforts to rebuild the country.
No further details of the meeting were disclosed.
Earlier, al-Sharaa also held talks with Keir Starmer, as well as British business leaders and company representatives in London.
