CHARIKAR: The provincial officials of Parwan said that at least eight members of a single family were martyred and one other person was injured following the collapse of a house roof in the province.
Hekmatullah Shamim, the spokesperson for the Parwan governor, told Radio Omid that the fatal incident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. in the village of Baghndak, in the Khishk valley, in the Siyahgird district of Parwan province.
The cause of the deadly incident was the recent heavy rain, he said adding that necessary assistance has already been provided to the victims by provincial authorities.
He also said that earlier, due to rain-related incidents and landslides in Parwan, six people had been killed and six others injured.
