KABUL: Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, during his visit to Uzbekistan, met his Belarusian counterpart, Andrei Kuznetsov, to discuss expanding bilateral trade.
According to a statement from the ministry today, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the INNOPROM Central Asia exhibition in Tashkent, where the two sides focused on increasing trade between Kabul and Minsk, including Afghanistan’s potential imports of petroleum products such as petrol and diesel.
Both ministers agreed to establish joint working groups at the deputy-minister level to follow up on discussions and facilitate trade growth between the two countries.
Azizi also invited Belarusian investors to explore opportunities in Afghanistan, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
