KABUL: Fahim Solak, the Afghanistan operations manager of the Turkish company “Sonay,” met with Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan’s national power utility company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS).
According to a statement from DABS today, the two sides discussed issues related to electricity generation, and Hamkar encouraged international investors to invest in Afghanistan’s power sector.
The statement added that the representative of the Turkish company expressed interest in investing in Afghanistan’s renewable energy industry.
Solak noted that Sonay has been involved in dozens of projects related to electricity generation and the construction of energy facilities over the past five years, highlighting the company’s experience in the energy sector.
