TEHRAN: Mojtaba Khamenei, an influential Iranian cleric, said that repeated U.S. violations of agreements with Tehran demonstrate that U.S. President Donald Trump’s signature is “worthless and unreliable.”
He also warned that if the conflict expands, the Iranian people and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) would deliver what he described as an “unforgettable response” to the United States.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions following recent Iranian attacks on U.S. military bases in Jordan, in which two American soldiers were reported killed, according to reports.
