KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the current regional situation during a meeting in Turkmenistan.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Putin expressed Moscow’s readiness to help resolve regional crises and reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to strengthening relations with Iran.
Pezeshkian, meanwhile, said Iran had put forward new proposals aimed at ending the war with the United States and called for a peaceful resolution to tensions in the region.
