KABUL: The European Union has provided 17 million euros to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as aids package for Afghan migrants.
According to the European Union, the aid has been donated to help improve the situation of returning Afghan migrants and their access to necessary support.
“The funds are intended to be used in establishing essential service centers, healthcare provisions, legal assistance, as well as vocational and technical training,” the EU said.
According to the European Union’s statistics, from January 2023 to April 2024, approximately 1.5 million Afghan migrants have returned to their home country from Pakistan and Iran.
