KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Israelis to support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and vote for him in the elections, saying this would allow them to complete the military campaign launched against Iran.
Trump reposted an earlier message supporting Netanyahu on his Truth Social platform and said he has maintained a good relationship with the Israeli prime minister because of their shared successes.
Referring to U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran, Trump claimed that the attacks had severely weakened Iran’s nuclear, military, and economic capabilities.
He also referred to the condition of Iran’s naval and air forces, its economic difficulties, and what he described as the elimination of Iranian military and political leaders.
In his message supporting Netanyahu, Trump told Israelis: “Vote for Netanyahu, so we can finish the work we started.”
