KABUL: Saudi Arabia and Syria have signed a military cooperation agreement between their defense ministries.
According to Reuters, the agreement was signed during a visit to Riyadh by Syrian interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa, where he met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The report said details of the agreement have not yet been disclosed. However, Reuters previously reported that Syria was considering providing military assistance to Saudi Arabia in its conflict with the Houthis.
The agreement comes as Yemen’s Houthi movement continues to launch missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia.
