KABUL: A high-ranking Afghan delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and some others attended the Fatiha (pray) ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, said on his X on Wednesday.
The delegation of the Islamic Emirate also met with the new Acting President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Mokhber and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baqir Ali Kani, and offered their condolences and prayers for the victims of the tragic incident.
Nine Iranian high-ranking Iranian officials, including the President and Foreign Minister, lost their lives as a result of a helicopter crash few days ago, their funeral prayers were held on Wednesday and the president’s body will be buried today (Thursday) in Mashhad.
