Two martyred, nine injured in two traffic accidents in Baghlan

PUL-E-KHUMRI: Two people have been martyred and nine others injured in two separate traffic accidents in different parts of Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province, the provincial authorities said.

According to the media office of the Baghlan governor, the first accident occurred in the Sang-e-Salakh area of Pul-e-Khumri city when a motorcycle collided with a Toyota Corolla.

The motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries in the crash and later died from his wounds, the source said.

The second accident took place in the Kilagi area of Doshi district after two Toyota Corolla vehicles collided.

A woman was martyred in the second incident, while nine others, including two men and seven children, were injured, according to the provincial authorities.

The injured people from both accidents were transported to health facilities for medical treatment, the source added.
