KABUL: Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate and Head of the Afghan delegation Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement on his X account that the second phase of the UN-led 3rd Doha meeting has begun today [Monday, July 01, 2024].
The meeting has been started with the presence of the United Nations, the Islamic Emirate, and other participants.
It is reported that in this phase, two information packages will be presented by the members of the Islamic Emirate delegation.
The first information package, prepared jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Central Bank, will be about the private sector and financial sanctions and the second package, prepared by the Ministry of Interior, will be about the fight against narcotics and the promotion of alternative crops.
On the first day of the third Doha meeting, Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the head of the Afghan delegation, presented the statement of the Islamic Emirate to the participants.
He said that the first day of the meeting went well and the participants expressed their readiness to provide assistance to Afghanistan.
