KABUL: With the arrival of the month of Muharram, the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement on Monday said that the Public Order Forces of the ministry have taken special security measures in Kabul city for the better celebration of Muharram (Ashura) ceremonies.
“The security forces of the ministry assure all the citizens of the country, especially the residents of Kabul that they are at their service around the clock,” said the statement adding the public order forces consider providing security and protection of the people as their honor.
The security forces have asked their compatriots to cooperate with their security forces in order to ensure security and repel any plots, said the statement.
It should be noted that during the month of Muharram, the compatriots of the country, especially the Shia citizens, hold special religious ceremonies.
