Afghan Islamic Army prevents smuggling of thousands of livestock to neighboring countries

KABUL: The 215th Al-Badr Army Corps said in a statement on Tuesday that its border personnel have prevented the smuggling of thousands of livestock to neighboring countries over the past month.
“As a result of the tip-off operation, the smuggling of 4,413 livestock from Nimroz and Helmand provinces to neighboring countries was prevented,” said the statement, adding that the smuggled livestock included 4,336 sheep, 25 goats, and 52 camels.
The country’s National Army continuously monitors any movements along the borders of the country, particularly along the Durand Line.
