Kazakhstan’s Deputy PM: We are considering vehicle exports to Afghanistan

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, said in a trade meeting between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan that his country is considering the possibility of exporting vehicles to Afghanistan, the Kazinform International News Agency reported on Tuesday.

Almaty is considering exporting cars to Afghanistan at Kabul’s request, he said emphasizing the implementation of joint projects between the two countries, particularly in the fields of geological exploration and solid mineral resources.

“Kazakhstan is prepared to allocate resources to send part of its exploration companies to Afghanistan to establish a sustainable mining sector,” he said.

Trade volume between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan has surpassed $330 million in the first eight months of this year.

It is noted that 80% of this trade currently consists of Kazakhstani wheat and flour exports to Afghanistan.
