Construction work on school kicked off in Shakardara, Kabul

KABUL: The Ministry of Education said in a statement today that construction work on a school building worth over 10.5 million Afghanis (some 149,014 US Dollars) has been kicked off in the Shakardara district of the capital Kabul.

According to the statement, the school will have six classrooms, two administrative rooms, and all other necessary facilities.

The residents of the Shakardara district have welcomed the start of the construction of the school, said the statement adding the school will be constructed by one of the partner organizations of the Ministry of Education.

According to the Ministry of Education, it is planned to build eight schools in seven districts.
