Pezeshkian: Continued Israeli strikes on Lebanon will undermine talks

KABUL: Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, says ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon will render negotiations between the United States and Iran meaningless.
In a post on X on Thursday, Pezeshkian described Israel’s renewed strikes on Lebanese territory as a “clear violation” of the initial ceasefire agreement.
He said the attacks signal a dangerous pattern of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements, adding that “our hands remain on the trigger.”
The Iranian president also stressed that Iran will not abandon “its Lebanese brothers and sisters.”
The latest Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, which have killed and wounded hundreds of civilians, have drawn widespread criticism from global leaders.
