Afghan, Uzbek traders sign MoUs worth $520 million in Kabul

KABUL: Afghan and Uzbek traders have signed 38 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth $520 million during a joint private-sector forum in Kabul, officials said Monday.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said the deals were finalized at the Afghanistan–Uzbekistan business forum, marking a significant step toward expanding bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to officials, the MoUs were signed in the presence of Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi.
The development follows a recent visit by a joint Uzbek government and business delegation, led by the governor of Andijan, which held meetings with Afghan officials and participated in economic discussions in Kabul.
