Minister Azizi: Afghanistan’s efforts to supply LPG and manage the market have been effective

KABUL: Noruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, says that amid global challenges affecting fuel supplies following the U.S. and Israel’s war with Iran, Afghanistan’s efforts to secure Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and manage the market have been effective.

The media office of the ministry said in a statement today that Minister Azizi, made the remarks on the sidelines of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, during a panel titled “Trust in Trade: The Future of Economic Integration and Stability in South Asia.”

In response to a question about how recent regional developments have affected fuel and gas prices in Afghanistan, Azizi said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had already prepared to meet the country’s energy needs and explored solutions in advance.

He added that despite a significant rise in global prices for petroleum products and LPG, prices in Afghanistan increased by only 3 to 5 percent.

Azizi also emphasized that the message of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is peace and peaceful coexistence, saying this approach stems from religious values and the wishes of the Afghan people.

It is also noted that Afghanistan’s delegation played an active role at the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
