KABUL: U.S. Vice President JD Vance has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “certainly made mistakes” on some important issues, while emphasizing that strategic ties between the United States and Israel remain strong.
Vance stated that Washington remains committed to supporting Israel’s security, but said that does not mean the United States will always agree with every decision made by the Israeli government.
He added that the United States supports diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and achieving long-term stability, calling on all parties to avoid further escalation of violence.
The remarks come amid continuing international criticism of Israel’s policies regarding the war in Gaza and broader concerns about security and stability in the region.
