KABUL: Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs, Mullah Noorullah Noori, addressed a public gathering titled “Unity and Coordination with the People” during his visit to Sar-e-Pul province.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs, the gathering was held in the Kohistanat district of Sar-e-Pul and attended by the governors of Sar-e-Pul and Samangan provinces, local officials, religious scholars, and community members.
In his remarks, Noori stated that under the Islamic system, the beliefs, history, freedom, and values of the Afghan people are protected and preserved. He added that “those who tested the people of Afghanistan for twenty years in pursuit of their own goals should not today shout the slogan of freedom of a free and independent Afghanistan.”
He further emphasized that the Afghan people do not support the Islamic Emirate out of coercion, but rather, according to him, based on their religious beliefs, culture, worldview, and political convictions.
Participants at the meeting also stressed the importance of strengthening the current system and promoting national unity, stating that the present government enjoys public support. They rejected any efforts aimed at destabilizing the country or interfering in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
According to the information provided, participants declared that, through unity and solidarity, they would continue to support the current system and would not allow the country’s security to be undermined.
