KABUL: An Iranian official has told Reuters that Tehran will make no compromises with Washington over its nuclear program and will not give up its right to enrich uranium.
According to the official, Iran is prepared, under a possible framework for negotiations with the United States, to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and in return, Tehran is demanding an end to the blockade of Iranian ports, the release of frozen assets and the lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil exports.
The official added that the United States must end fighting on all fronts, including in Lebanon, within one week. After that, Tehran would be prepared to hold detailed talks with Washington on its nuclear program.
He stressed that Iran would not relinquish its right to uranium enrichment and would not transfer highly enriched uranium out of the country.
