Kazakhstan’s President orders expansion of cooperation with Afghanistan

KABUL: Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has issued a directive to enhance cooperation with Afghanistan.
Kazakh media reported today that he welcomed Yerkin Tokumbayev, the newly appointed special representative for Afghanistan, and highlighted his role in strengthening bilateral relations between Kabul and Astana.
The President emphasized that relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan should be expanded in various areas, including trade, economy, and humanitarian efforts.
Tokayev reiterated Kazakhstan’s intention to implement more humanitarian and educational programs aimed at ensuring security and stability in Afghanistan.
Recently, Kazakhstan has also improved its diplomatic relations by appointing a special representative for Afghanistan, a move that has been well received by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
