Major 12-hour Russian attacks on Ukraine; 500 drones and 40 Kinzhal missiles launched

KABUL: Senior Ukrainian officials report that the country endured another night of heavy fire from Russian forces, lasting 12 hours, during which 500 drones and 40 Kinzhal missiles were launched.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on his X, described the assault as “brutal, targeted, and deliberate,” aimed at ordinary cities using Iranian-Russian “Shahed” drones, affecting areas such as Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Odesa.
According to Zelensky, the latest Russian attacks have claimed the lives of four Ukrainian citizens and injured forty others, including women and children.
Zelensky noted that the attack damaged various infrastructures, including the Cardiological Institute, a bakery, a tire manufacturing plant, private homes, apartment buildings, and other civilian facilities.
All necessary services have been deployed to the affected areas.
This comes as last week, the U.S. President stated that Ukraine, with the support of Europe and NATO, has the capability to reclaim its lost territories from Russia.
