KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in a statement told Radio Omid, that work on four water supply networks, costing over 24 million Afghanis, begins in Takhar and Ghor provinces.
According to the statement, one health water supply network will be built in the village of “Qara Tapa” in the Ashkmesh district of Takhar, while three additional networks will be constructed in the districts of Al-Farooq and Dawlina in Ghor.
The press statement indicates that the cost of the Takhar project is $85,097, equivalent to over 5.6 million Afghanis, while the cost for the Ghor projects is 18.4 million Afghanis.
Upon completion of these four projects, 978 families will gain access to safe drinking water.
Additionally, it is expected that job opportunities will also be created for dozens of others in the provinces of Ghor and Takhar during the implementation of the projects.
Providing safe drinking water to citizens, especially in underprivileged areas, remains a priority for both governmental and non-governmental organizations.
