KABUL: As a result of a school collapse in the city of Sidwarjo, East Java, Indonesia, 50 students dead and 13 others trapped.
Reuters reports that local authorities have stated that 80% of the debris has been cleared so far, and rescue operations are still ongoing.
Regional officials have attributed the cause of the collapse to substandard construction of the building.
Media outlets indicate that rescue teams are working to expedite their operations in order to locate the missing individuals.
