ZARANJ: The Nimroz Information and Culture Department said in a statement that security forces have successfully prevented the smuggling of 48 historical artifacts in the province.
According to the statement, the artifacts were discovered along the Zaranj-Dilaram highway, where they were intended to be smuggled out of the province.
Mufti Habibullah Ilham, head of the Nimroz Information and Culture Department, praised the security forces for their efforts, noting that the recovered artifacts span various historical periods.
He added that the artifacts are currently being transferred to the Nimroz Museum.
Ilham also mentioned that there is a directive from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to prevent the seizure, destruction, and trade of historical artifacts.
The security and defense forces across the country are making efforts to combat all forms of smuggling.
